A survey by the Finnish Information Society Development Centre (TIEKE) shows that opportunities that blockchain technology offers are not yet widely recognised. Blockchain may offer significant benefits for certain applications. An example of this are blockchain-enabled digital product passports. They can help sharing product information between producers, consumers, recyclers and regulatory bodies more effectively.
