Environmental requirements for the ICT sector are becoming stricter – the new ICT EnergyLife+ project helps companies and procurers prepare for change

Energy consumption and environmental impacts in the ICT sector are growing rapidly. At the same time, EU regulation is becoming stricter and demand for more sustainable products and services is increasing. The new Green ICT project ICT EnergyLife+ responds to these challenges by helping companies and procurement organisations develop and purchase ICT solutions that are more energy-efficient, repairable, modular and longer-lasting.

Visiiri – National ecosystem for Green ICT transition

The Green ICT Visiiri project creates an overview of the impact of the Finnish ICT sector on climate and the environment. The project supports the green transition of the ICT sector by connecting the sector’s actors in a national ecosystem. The project will develop methods to measure the environmental impact of the ICT sector and produce environmental awareness training materials for companies.
