Designing a DEI/EDI training program with key stakeholders

TIEKE and Aalto University/CKIR are working in a European project developing training on EDI themes to management students and managers. We think that the localised part of this training would serve the Finnish working life best, if we would develop it with the key stakeholders.

Developing management skills on DEI/EDI themes to Finnish working life

The European EDIFY-EDU project addresses the skills gap of Management education with regards to competencies on equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The aim is to develop skills of management students and managers in medium-sized companies so that they can respond to the societal transformation.

The first phase of the EDIFY-EDU training program is an online MOOC course in autumn 2024. Target group for the MOOC are managers, management students, entrepreneurs, and HR managers.

In the second phase of the program, more country-specific and customizable Specialization Course will be implemented in early 2025. This course is targeted especially to management students, and it will consist of smaller learning modules.

Designing the training program with key stakeholders

TIEKE and Aalto University/CKIR saw that the Specialization Course would serve the Finnish working life best, if we would develop it with the key stakeholders.

So, we invited these stakeholders to participate in a workshop to design the modular training together. The aim was to get a basic idea of the 20 modules of the course and choose the most important ones for Finland´s point of view.

The workshop was a success! It was once again great to see how collaboration and combining perspectives lead to new insights and the creation of diverse connections. We thank all participants for active contribution and sharing of expertise!

Roadmap to 100% e-invoicing by 2030

Raising e-invoicing to 100% in Finland by 2030 is an ambitious target we are trying to reach with the E-invoicing 2030 roadmap. The roadmap focuses on the promotion of e-invoices under the European standard, with concrete steps to reaching the target. The E-invoicing Forum has investigated why all companies are not yet using e-invoices compliant with the European standard. The results indicate there are some key problems that must be solved, and these are what the roadmap focuses on.

An eco-friendly future from electronics waste: producing and using eco-friendlier technology with the help of the Green ICT ecosystem

“Green technology” is no longer an empty catchphrase, as a new EU directive will require companies to assess and report on the emissions they produce. Recycling also plays a key role in the technology sector. A staggering 53.6 million tonnes of technological waste is generated every year, outweighing the Great Wall of China.

Technology – invaluable for continuous learning and recognition of prior learning

The high rate of digitalisation makes it important to keep learning new skills, and to recognise such skills. Skill recognition and development calls for strategic thinking, data on skills, practical tools and collaboration. Good examples of skills recognition models and tools include badges, data spaces and a digital compass.
